Software Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, implement and unit test critical software solutions using our Python framework and JS applications
Work closely with other members of the engineering organization on design iterations, testability, and inter-operability
Work closely with Technical Support to resolve customer issues. Investigate, analyze, and fix identified defects.
Debug complex problems reported by customers and resolve them with appropriate release vehicles
Plan work by making accurate estimates and task breakdowns. Meet regular deadlines in an iterative process
Required Skills and Knowledge
BS or MS in computer science or related discipline
2-3 years of development experience with proven track record of quality on time deliveries
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and proficient in Multi-Threaded software design and implementation
Expertise in Python and experience with familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
Knowledge of Python web framework including Django and Flask
Experience with client side development languages like JavaScript, TypeScript and ReactJS
Experience in Object Relational Mapping (ORM) and Relational Databases such as MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra and Redis
Excellent teamwork skills, analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge and experience in the following technologies: NginX, Gunicorn, RabbitMQ, Docker, Vagrant, Puppet, ElasticSearch, Celery
Experience in Service Oriented Application development using Web Services
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application and proficient in Multi-Threaded software design and implementation
Experience working in Unix and Linux platforms
Exposure to front-end development technologies (JSP, AJAX, HTML, CSS3)
