What you'll do:
When you join the AAA Texas as a Homeowner Claims Representative III, you're bringing your expertise to a best-in-class organization that is focused on delivering quality service to our members. As a Claims Rep III you will:
Handle moderate complexity claims matters involving material damage, property and/or liability lines of insurance written by the Interinsurance Exchange in compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements
Pursue subrogation recovery in one or more jurisdictions from other carriers, uninsured motorists, and other parties on auto, medical, and/or property claims.
Review claims files to evaluate recovery potential and take appropriate action in support of recovery strategy.
Prepare and submit demands to appropriate parties
Refer cases to outside recovery agencies and attorneys when necessary
Correspond and negotiate within settlement authority with third parties and other carriers
Communicate with internal and external partners, including but not limited to member insureds, claimants, attorneys, service providers, recovery agencies, governmental entities and other carriers
May initiate arbitration or oversee files in arbitration and litigation
What you bring:
4 Year Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior insurance or physical damage experience preferred
Proficiency with computer operation and web based applications, Microsoft Office proficiency
Strong organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills and strong negotiation skills
Ideal candidate must be able to work Monday through Friday
