Opportunity at a Glance
The Senior Graphic Designer will focus on creating and maintaining positive exposure for Ross University School of Medicine through the design of engaging, effective visuals to achieve defined marketing objectives. Assists in developing strategic marketing plans for RUSM. Tactically executes on the marketing plan in support of RUSM objectives as directed by the Senior Director of Marketing.
Responsibilities
Design compelling marketing collateral, creative and advertising across traditional, digital and social platforms that engage desired target audiences through expert application of on-brand color, form, imagery, and typography (ex. brochures, print/digital/social advertising, landing pages, emails, posters).
Work with agency of record on development of creative that effectively communicates messaging and adheres to University brand standards.
Assist in the development of graphics for marketing initiatives such as videos and multimedia efforts.
Assist in developing RUSM marketing strategy and contribute to creation of effective messaging for intended audiences.
Work with marketing team to support the creative needs of admissions colleagues in the field, other internal departments, and the RUSM campus.
Stay abreast of design industry best practices across all platforms and apply these learnings to create best-in-class visuals.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related field
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an agency, marketing or corporate environment
5 years of recent marketing experience in planning, creating and implementing behavior-driving marketing and advertising materials across traditional, digital and social platforms
Proficiency with MS Office skills essentials including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite essentials including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proficiency with HTML
This position requires self-direction, tact and diplomacy to work well under pressure. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects along with excellent oral and written communications skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a courteous and professional manner with internal and external customers
Ability to travel domestically/internationally approximately 10%
