The world-renowned, St. Luke's Cataract & Laser Institute is looking for a highly motivated person to assume responsibility for the patient care experience and daily operations of the medical and surgical practices of the doctors within St. Luke's at The Villages.
This position will be an instrumental part of the leadership team of this state-of-the-art surgical facility located within The Villages, Lake Sumter Landing.

Job Specific Information
Responsibilities
Maintaining the facility's regulatory compliance, licensure, and accreditation standards
Planning, developing and training of staff within the practice
Hiring, training, and performance reviews for clinical, desk and surgical support staff positions
Working with the leadership team of St. Luke's Cataract and Laser Institute to implement standardized practices consistent with those of the organization as a whole
Creation and oversight of physicians' clinical and surgical templates
Directing patient care according to physician protocols
Ensuring patient satisfaction and responding to patient complaints/correspondence
Administration of quality assurance protocols within the practice
Overseeing and directing financial productivity of the practice
Monitoring billing, coding and compliance standards for clinic and surgery
Supervising charge entries, collections and daily bank deposits
Conducting audits for compliance and coding standards
Recommending and participation in community marketing efforts to promote physicians to referral sources
Overseeing quality improvement, infection control, and risk management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Must have at least five years of experience in clinic operations
Must have prior supervisory experience
Effective at counseling, teaching and coaching staff
Able to respond appropriately and effectively to common inquiries or complaints from patients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Able to present information comfortably to senior management and in public forums
Experience applying logic and scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems
Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn new computer skills and direct IT support
Knowledge of reimbursement issues such as coding, billing and managed care contracting
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Ophthalmology
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and billing and coding experience
A minimum of one year in a surgery center environment
