Senior QC Analytical Scientist

The Laboratory for Cell and Gene Medicine is seeking a Senior QC Analytical Scientist, to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to assigned project or project leadership for a phase of, or all of, a major engineering or scientific research project/program. The incumbent will work in collaboration with senior research staff members.
Duties include:
Provide leadership and scientific expertise in the planning and implementation of major projects, services, facilities, and activities.
Develop advanced technological ideas, and guide their development into a final product or new approaches to research. Carry out complex or unique assignments important to the advancement of the field.
Provide expert consultation and collaboration regarding technical requirements, capabilities, and advancement opportunities; make substantive contributions in diverse technical areas.
Provide technical direction to other research staff, engineering associates, technicians, and/or students; facilitate workshops and demonstrations on research methods; educate and train users on research methodology and effective tools and techniques.
Contribute to or co-author published articles, presentations, or scientific papers; identify research and development funding opportunities.
Manage resources to meet program objectives.

Qualifications:
PhD or Master's degree preferred.
Quality Control experience in clinical laboratory, hematology, blood banking, immunology or QC laboratory preferably in cGMP environment.
Solid understanding of cGMP requirements, ISO, ICH requirements and quality systems.
Demonstrated experience in QC innovation and analytical methods and validation tests development.
Demonstrated experience with technology transfer methods experience.
Strong team-oriented, interpersonal skills and collaborative work style.
Ability to manage and coordinate all tasks assigned and effectively complete all expected deliverables in a timely manner and proactively communicate changes in pre-established goals and deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
Expert knowledge of the principles of engineering and related natural sciences.
Demonstrated project leadership experience.
Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing technical professionals.

Frequently grasp lightly/fine manipulation, perform desk-based computer tasks, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

Rarely kneel/crawl, climb (ladders, scaffolds, or other), reach/work above shoulders, use a telephone, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork or parts, operate foot and/or hand controls, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh >40 pounds.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
