AMHS/Factory Automation Supervisor

GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled, motivated and results driven supervisor to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York in the AMHS/Factory Automation department. This role will be responsible for leading a team of shift technicians to maximize the quality and process capabilities of a highly automated, wafer fabrication facility. This position requires availability to work a compressed schedule (12 hour shifts alternating long weeks and short weeks 4 days on, 3 days off followed by 3 days on, 4 days off) including occasional department meeting time commitments. The ideal candidate will be available to work any shift day or night.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Be an active leader in developing a culture of safety, 5S and cleanroom protocol, and help ensure compliance to fab policies, guidelines and rules.
Lead a team of technicians and coordinate daily activities, tasks and projects between team members, engineers, partners, customers and vendors.
Develop and perform effective preventive maintenance and corrective action procedures.
Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production, quality, or maintenance issues.
Lead team meetings as needed at shift cross-over as well as daily department meetings with engineers and management.
Develop training materials and documentation to capture knowledge and promote learning and standardization of procedures and processes.
Train and certify team members on established processes and procedures.
Lead, drive and/or actively participate on continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and efficiencies.
Build and develop team members by setting challenging goals and by providing effective feedback, mentoring and coaching.
Establish a positive work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork and a passion for winning and improving.
Administer employment policies and procedures, approve time sheets and time off requests, and complete performance evaluations and career development plans for team members.

Required Qualifications
Associates degree in engineering or other relevant technical field of study or Equivalent Years of Military Experience
Internal candidates must be at least a Level 4 Principal Technician
Minimum of 5 years experience in a highly technical manufacturing/operations environment
Must be proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to understand, navigate and use highly complex factory software systems
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to build teams, lead people and mentor/coach others
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering or other relevant technical field of study.
Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead and manage a shift team of maintenance technicians.
Previous semiconductor industry experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
