Job Title: Facilities Specialist
Location: Quantico, VA
Description:
ALEX Alternative Experts is now hiring a Facilities Specialist to develop new and modify existing AutoCAD drawings, prepare Scopes of Work (SOW) statements, and help prepare estimates for the budgeting of facility projects. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Drawing floor plans needed for future projects
Developing space and facilities utilization plans
Developing detailed drawings for the planning and estimating of projects
Assisting in condition assessment of various building systems
Measurement of facilities to determine total square footage available for occupancy
Computing square footage available for each member of staff
Determining whether minimum space restrictions can be met
Inspecting areas to assess suitability for occupancy, considering size, air circulation, lighting, & location
Developing and maintaining a monthly news publication pertaining to the building and grounds
Creating name tags, evacuation signs, event posters, building circulars, and more
Required
Qualifications:
4 years of professional experience in facilities project management, planning, design, estimating, or construction management for administrative and/or secure facilities
1 year of this experience serving in a lead role
Experience using AutoCAD
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook)
Experience managing databases
Effective communication skills to prepare written and verbal presentations
Knowledge of:
Principles and techniques of project management
Standard principles and practices of structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering
Federal and state regulations surrounding safety and building codes
Standard building construction means and methods
Intermediate construction cost estimating
Intermediate construction management
Architect-Engineer and construction contract support
Principles and practices of facility maintenance management
Ability to:
Plan, estimate, and deliver multiple projects
Analyze facilities and space needs and match them to organizational resources and long-range plans
Prepare conceptual design for buildings and interior space
Estimate project costs, including planning, design, and construction
Plan, organize, review, and evaluate the work of consultants, contractors, and others
Analyze and monitor project budgets and implement cost controls
Use applications such as project scheduling, cost estimating, and project management software
Preferred
Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
