Internet Research Analyst
Job Description
Marksmen, a 19-year-old world-leading intellectual property investigation firm (www.marksmen.com), is seeking a research analyst to join our team. We are growing company with an incredible clientele (some of the largest companies in the world) and have completed over 85,000 investigations.
This position will be required to work out of the company s Alpine, UT office. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, organized, self-starter who is a good listener and responds well to questions or direction; is a team player; exhibits objectivity and is open to others points of view; treats co-workers and clients with respect; works ethically and with integrity; meets commitments; and maintains a good sense of humor.
To perform this position successfully, candidates should demonstrate the following competencies:
Highly computer literate
Efficient and effective in conducting online research
High degree of competency in navigating social media sites
Ability to use boolean search capabilities in Google and other similar sites
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
Requirements
Qualified candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be intellectually curious, with the ability to look at disparate pieces of information and connect the dots. Candidate should be willing to take and follow detailed instructions. In addition to conducting online research, responsibilities will include:
Prioritizing deadlines of competing projects
Organizing information and writing reports
Coordinating efficiently with Marksmen management.
Intellectual Property knowledge, legal experience or fluency (read, write, and speak) in other languages such as Chinese is a plus.
