SUMMARY


As the Senior Network Engineer, the team member will support Oshkosh Corporation and its divisions specifically operational and project related support for the enterprise network infrastructure. The position has access to secure locations and data; therefore, the incumbent may be subject to additional background screening requirements.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Service Management


1. Third level ticket investigation and resolution


Analysis and Problem Management


1. Problem analysis


2. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates network infrastructure and makes recommendations for improvement and optimization


3. Frequently works with end users related to new incidents and requests as well as project related activities


4. Ability to work under pressure related to multiple activities where prioritization is key to successful completions


5. Deliver appropriate level of detail in documentation related to change management, root cause analysis for Post Mortems


Technical Support


1. Maintain working knowledge of network infrastructure systems in a large enterprise environment


2. Network operational support and project implementation to include, but not limited to incident, new, problem, and change requests for network infrastructure


3. Ensures compliance with SOX, security audits and remediation


4. Development and updating of technical documentation including knowledge articles


Project Management


1. Supports and complies with Project Methodology Office (PMO) processes and procedures


2. Supports project implementations provides timely status and appropriate project documentation to meet the PM's deliverables.


Supervisory



  1. Report to the Network Management

  2. Expected to work with limited supervision

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


    Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field with 8-plus years related experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3-plus years related experience


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


    CCNP, CCDP certification


    In depth understanding of enterprise networks


    High competency with routing and switching protocols and configurations


    Familiarity with Network Monitoring Tools


    Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills


    Demonstrates a strong desire and history of continuing education in relevant fields of study.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
