We are seeking a qualified Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at BIC Graphic in Sleepy Eye, MN. Our facility is North America's largest printer of Promotional Calendars and we also print sticky notes and other paper items. We are 285,000 square feet with additional warehouses and we employee over 400 full-time and up to 200 temporary employees.
The Maintenance Supervisor will:

  • Translate the company vision, mission, and strategies into functional activities within the maintenance area.



  • Provide supervision, training, and work direction to maintenance associates.



  • Direct, plan and implement facilitys maintenance activities, including the maintenance and repair of machines, electrical systems, structures and facilities.



  • Prepare and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plan to minimize equipment down time and long-range maintenance costs.



  • Provide technical installation, set-up, maintenance, and repair services for all production operations and for all systems of the physical facility.



  • Maximize utilization of maintenance resources; investigate and use the most cost-effective internal and external sources and methods for providing maintenance services.



  • Execute continuous process improvement, quality awareness, waste management and teamwork principles within the maintenance areas.



  • Provide necessary training to advance the skills of the maintenance staff.



  • Support the implementation of process improvement techniques for each department.



  • Develop a process of evaluating equipment condition related to the timely replacement of said equipment.



  • Direct a cost-effective program to provide appropriate repair parts and supplies.



  • Develop and administer maintenance budget.



  • Coordinate the work of independent contractors performing construction, maintenance or repair work on company property.



  • Implement programs to ensure efficient energy and utility usage.



  • Maintain the physical facility in a safe, energy-efficient and clean condition.



  • Support and administer approved company policies and clearly communicate new policies and objectives to all department associates.



  • Participate in the development of department forecasts and budgets and administers the department within the limits of approved budgets



  • Participate in task and special project teams pertinent to the fulfillment of strategic goals.



  • Serves as second alternate emergency coordinator for facility contingency program.



  • Performs reasonably similar or related duties as may be required for the successful administration of the function.



  • Must maintain availability to respond to the facility for safety, equipment or facility issues.



  • Understand and adhere to applicable environmental requirements.



  • Have detailed understanding of OSHA Standards such as: Hazard Communication, Fall Protection, Lock Out/Tag Out, Machine Guarding and General Electrical Requirements.



  • Ability to lead through example to your direct reports.



  • Understand and operate facility safety and security equipment such as: Door Access System, Security Cameras and Fire alarms and suppression equipment.



  • Interact and report site environmental standards and goals to the North American EHS Team.



  • Proactive approach to identify potential equipment issues or process improvement opportunities.



  • Understand and support ISO 9000 and 14000 certifications and processes.



  • Actively participate in plant safety initiatives and programs including machine and ergonomic risk assessments.



  • Minimum of a 2 year post-secondary education in maintenance, mechanics, or related field.



  • 3
    years supervisory experience



  • Ability to use computer relevant software and various hand tools.



  • Must possess technical knowledge in the fields of maintenance and engineering.



  • Have a detailed understanding of NFPA 70e.



  • Ability to move freely about the plant to access equipment and perform maintenance functions.



  • Understand basic machine shop principles.



  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively among associates during stressful and time sensitive situations.



  • Excellent written communication, computer, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.



  • Requires minimal travel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
