The role:


Support the Marketing organization by owning and improving the analytics cloud platform and all data flows to enable large-scale data processing that will significantly impact the business. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and productionalizing our current architecture / platform as well as cutting-edge technologies. A successful candidate must be able to work independently with strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and superior problem solving abilities.


Principal Accountabilities:



  • Be the expert at moving data from A to B - both one-time movements as well as automated incremental updates. Includes data feeds to/from vendors and moving data between internal databases.

  • Architect tables and database to optimize analytic performance. Includes table structure, field types, indexes, sort / distribution keys, compression, etc.

  • Own our big data Analytics platform which includes improving the database design, optimizing the data flows, and ensuring reliable up-time.

  • Understand all nuances of the database and the business rules associated with pulling the data accurately.

  • Be one of the go-to people on the team to answer questions and validate queries. Support the technical development of teammates.

  • Innate intellectual curiosity and drive for root cause analysis. Be able to creatively solve problems with the tools and resources available, when necessary.

  • Be a trusted partner of IT with superior technical communication skills.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience/Knowledge:



  • Bachelors degree in engineering, economics, computer science (or similar).

  • 4
    years of relevant work experience.

  • Expert in query language such as SQL or equivalent.

  • Expert with data wrangling tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Pentaho, or others.

  • Expert with data wrangling techniques such as imputation, fuzzy matching, or others.

  • Experience designing and executing ETL processes and techniques.

  • Experience with database performance optimization techniques such as partitioning, indexing, or others.

  • Experience with database quality assurance processes such as audit reports, error triggers, or others.

  • Experience with architecting and executing automated jobs.

  • Experience working on a big data platform such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure a plus.

  • Strong technical, data transformation, and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver against aggressive deadlines.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
