Job Responsibilities



  • Champions safety and environmental health internally and externally.

  • Recommending, planning, and executing site space-plan changes

  • Audits and identifies safety and health concerns and hazards by surveying environmental, operational, and occupational conditions.

  • Maintains project documentation library:
    standards, examples, project docs, etc.

  • Participates in the development of project management methods, systems, tools and techniques in order to ensure continuous improvement of the department

  • Works with training team to ensure safety trainings are done and documented.

  • Responsible for taking a lead role in key company-wide safety and environmental health projects.

  • Responsible for Evacuation Planning and training.

  • Implements effective loss control measures to reduce incidents, illnesses and injuries; including directing thorough implementation of lessons learned / best practices to ingrain them within the organization's culture.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge and expertise to research, review, and interpret regulations.

  • Develops and maintains positive and constructive relationships with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, as well as with relevant professional organizations.

  • Monitors federal and state agencies for regulatory changes and counsels with operations regarding changes that may impact the organization.

  • Exercises independent judgment in assessing and evaluating the Employee-driven Safety Program's (ESP) cross departmental implementation.



  • Oversees and conducts departmental safety and health program audits to ensure the consistent implementation of technically accurate programs.

  • Documents, Investigates, analyzes and reports all accidents and near misses

  • Files and monitors Workers Compensations Claims

  • Performs other duties as required

  • Work with onsite security guards and security processes to include review of DARS, daily interactions with site security supervisor.

  • Assist with site security operations to include granting of badge access levels, reviewing of camera footage, and working with events team on required security for events

  • Create security reports for management

  • Work with security contractor to do threat assessments

  • Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.

  • Follow legal policies as directed.


Job Requirements



  • Able to effectively use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software

  • Worker's compensation claims experience preferred

  • Contact with internal and external customers, regulatory agencies, contractors, and field consultants

  • Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing

  • Works on call and some hours other than the regular schedule

  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally. Subject to walking, climbing stairs, climbing ladders, and working at heights on construction projects to perform job scope. Requires visual acuity, speech and hearing.


Skills


OSHA Compliance, emergency response, safety compliance. AutoCAD experience a plus. CAFM or CMMS experience also a plus. Understanding of general security policies and practices.


Education



  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Architecture or Health and Safetly or 8 years experience.


Certifications



  • OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Safety Training Course (Within one year of hire).

  • Certified first responder

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
