Windows System Administrator
Largest Independent Distributor of its kind with over 130 Centers nationally is seeking an experienced VMware and Windows Systems Administrator to join a growing team responsible for internal IT infrastructure, including its expanding internal private cloud infrastructure and services.
This is a Direct Hire position and as such an awesome benefits package is available including health insurances, 401k and lucrative PTO.
The position is responsible for the following:
- Administration of multiple production VMware ESX environments running Windows.
- Planning and executing all aspects of ensuring a robust and reliable production environment, including upgrades, licensing, and documentation, as well as design, testing, and implementation of new systems.
- Two separate data centers, including cabling, Servers, databases, storage area networks, and backup devices.
- Ongoing administration, support and optimization of hardware, software, and network infrastructure for the corporate offices and the data facilities.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for all systems including backups, maintenance, network diagrams, audit information, and disaster recovery plans.
- Basic support of MS SQL Server databases.
- Nimble storage area networks and arrays.
- Data center backup, deduplication, and replication devices.
- Automation of routine tasks where possible via PowerShell and other Scripting tools.
- Providing a high level of responsiveness to end users.
This position is part of a dynamic team environment. Interpersonal and communication skills are important as well as the ability to work independently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent
- 4
years' experience in Windows Administration with VMware - Experience with AWS, Jenkins, Puppet or Chef are a plus
