Financial Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Analyst

The Financial EDI Analyst is responsible for setting up clients on the Sterling Integrator (SI) application and the EDI system for data translation and payments processing. The Direct Send Setup team is responsible for onboarding clients on EDI, ACH and Customer Recon systems, Production and Project support, Map development, Testing and improvement activities across the operational footprint. This role is suited to an adaptable self starter with the desire to drive results and who possesses the capabilities to forge strong partnerships and deliver through influencing and collaborating with others.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Lead and facilitate customer/project Kick off session to gather requirements and educate customers on product and services
  • Setup clients on the EDI system for payments processing
  • Participate in pre sales activities, deals and pipeline reviews.
  • Identify improvement opportunities through data analytics, stakeholder and customer interactions
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across divisions

Commercial Operations support a diverse range of products including Global Wire Transfer, Automated Clearing House (ACH), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Wholesale Lockbox, International Trade & Supply Chain Finance, Foreign Exchange, Cash Management, Commercial Loans, Asset Based Lending and Leasing.
Qualifications
Required Skills/
Experience:
  • 5
    years relevant business experience
  • Prior experience using Sterling Integrator
  • Knowledge of EDI Processing and file translation
  • Knowledge of Industry File Formats including X and 823, EDIFACT, IDOC, XML, FF and CSV
  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to multi task, prioritize and work independently
  • Track record of fostering collaboration and innovative thinking
  • Ability to work under own initiative and drive results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A track record of building and maintaining stakeholder relationships
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends and formulate proposals
  • Excellent time management skills; goal driven while also meeting day to day business needs
Preferred Skills/
Experience:
  • Knowledge of Operations and the Commercial Banking business
  • Knowledge of Payments Processing including ACH, Wire, Check Print and Lockbox
  • Extensive knowledge of Mainframe technology and applications ncluding VSAM, TSO/ISPF, SAR and CICS
Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or 10
    years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Working towards a relevant recognized formal qualification in Business Analysis is preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
