Responsibilities:
- Oversees and leads a team of highly talented individuals in order to design, build, unit test, and release great software
- Ensures a fun, dynamic work environment & build merit-based culture which appeals to the top talent in the software engineering field
- Maintains a customer-focused approach by keeping existing customers happy to drive high renewal rates
- Facilitates increased sales by delivering a competitive product and adding functionality desired by prospects
- Extends product capabilities to support Employee Management
- Measures departmental performance by implementing & refining metrics & reporting to stakeholders as appropriate
- Lead and coach the team structuring appropriate training and development and eliminating road blocks to team performance
- Partner with Talent team on the acquisition and retention of people resources to fulfill team mission successful; own the selection process.
- May act as the delivery owner for critical projects or programs on behalf of the agile team
- Consistently ensures that business is conducted with integrity at all times and that behavior aligns with iCIMS core competencies
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of software design and development experience in a JEE environment
- Minimum of 4 years in a Software Development Management role
- Proven experience in scalable web application development, cross-platform integrations, API and restful web services design and development; Management and/or development of mobile and responsive applications is a plus
- Passionate, driven, strong leadership skills, customer focused, outstanding communication skills
- Experience leading a development group responsible for delivering a SaaS product to external customers is highly desired
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively - Ability to work effectively within a fast paced, changing environment that is going through high growth
- A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions
- Strong results orientation with a proven track record of flawless execution and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated customer service orientation
- Strategic analysis/creative problem solving, business judgment and financial acumen are required
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional partners and upper management to impact decision-making
- Strong leadership qualities, as well as the ability to inspire and develop a team
Education/Certifications/Licenses Required
- BA/BS preferred or relevant work experience
