The Salesforce PlatformEngineer collaborates with the project team and Salesforce Technical Architectto understand requirements from business stakeholders, establish and deliverbest practices, and maintain a high level of quality within the SFDCenvironment. The Salesforce Platform Engineer will know and understandcurrent and future Salesforce technology, and define how that technology willcontribute to the success of the business. The Salesforce Platform Engineer willunderstand requirements and resolve gaps by customizing the platform togetherwith the Technical Architect, Solutions Architect, and other team members. Additionally, the Salesforce Platform Engineer will work with other teams - on boththe business and IT sides - to determine strategic system capabilities andtechnical solutions. Finally, the Salesforce Platform Engineer DevOps willserve as the subject matter expert for Salesforce DevOps leveraging CICD (ContinuousIntegration/Continuous Delivery) and other deployment automation tools (e.g.AutoRABIT), developing test and deployment protocols, and implementingregression test scripts and other functionality in support of Change andRelease Management and Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities

Collectand define business requirements as user stories for the development of systemfunctionality.

Determinetechnical tasks for implementation that covers all aspects of the technical andfunctional requirements.

Supportthe full project life cycle, including analysis, design, development, delivery,and post-delivery.

Buildstrong working partnerships with delivery managers, architects, and other teammembers.

Identify,communicate, and manage risks that may interfere with project execution orsuccess.

Makeimprovement recommendations that assist the business in achieving its goals andobjectives, leveraging best practices and professional experiences.

Obtainand maintain a working knowledge across all applications, customers, andbusiness units across multiple functional areas.

Createand manage SFDC pages, fields, business rules (validations and workflow), andmore in support of business requirements.

Performanalysis, administration, troubleshooting, testing, software, and dataenvironment refreshes as needed.

Packageand deploy software changes to all environments (development, testing, andproduction).

Influencebusiness teams on maximizing the applications being developed, leveraging thebest solutions.

UtilizeForce.com development tools and technology.

Develop,assemble, and maintain a library of model documents, templates, best practices,and other re-usable knowledge assets.

Promotereusability of functionality within Salesforce platform, including integrationcomponents.

Workeffectively on multiple assignments, activities, and projects.

Maintain a high awareness of industry issues andtrends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emergingtechnologies, keeping team members informed as appropriate with a view toincorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market.


Qualifications

Qualifications

5+years of hands-on Salesforce.com experience in the areas of Service Cloud,Sales Cloud, Workflows, Mobile, Single Sign On, APIs, and integration toenterprise systems, including 2
years in Apex and VisualForce code development.

Salesforce.com enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced,dynamic environment.

Strong team player with service-orientedattitude and customer focus.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word,Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Clear and effective written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Agile Scrum experience preferred.

Project management skills a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio a plus.

Familiarity with Change and Release Managementprocesses.

Experience with source code control platforms (e.g.GitHub, Bitbucket) (required)

Advanced knowledge of software developmentlifecycle

Experience on cross-functional development teamstoward task completion

Experience with deployment tools like Autorabitor similiar (required)

Experience in automating regression test scripts(e.g. Selenium) (required)

Plan, manage, and socialize all releaseengineering activities

Continually work towards making improvements inthe build/release process

Coordinate deliveries from geographicallydistributed development teams

Define, collect and report metrics that measureprogress and performance of the build and deployment infrastructure

Experience on Vlocity CPQ tool (preferred)

Certifications:
Admin 201 (required), AppBuilder (required), Platform Builder (preferred)
