Grounds/Maintenance Worker - Hale Farm & Village

RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible to the Maintenance/Preservation Lead

CLASSIFICATION:
This position is classified as seasonal and non-exempt from overtime compensation.

COORDINATION:
Under the guidance of the Maintenance Lead, works with Hale Farm & Village's departments and auxiliaries on a daily basis as well as for special events and programs.

DUTIES:
Landscape maintenance including, but not limited to, cutting grass, brush hog operation, weed eating, trash pick-up, weeding, planting, mulching, cutting firewood and other duties as assigned.
General site and vehicle maintenance including, but not limited to buildings, systems, and equipment.
Occasional weekend work necessary as special events dictate.
Undertakes other duties as assigned by Maintenance/Preservation Lead of Hale Farm and Village.


Qualifications:
Ability to stand for long periods of time, experience operating commercial landscape equipment and chainsaw, work in inclement weather when necessary, ability to lift 50 pounds.
Pleasant, honest, reliable, self-motivated, team worker, punctual, neat, with an ability to follow policies and work details.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
