Project Superintendent
Job Description
The Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel and subcontractors to successfully complete the project exceeding customer expectations in all performance areas including; schedule, teamwork, budget and quality. This includes administering best safety practices with all on-site activities, maintaining the job site office and effectively closing out the project. (Reports to the Project Manager, then to the President of the company.)
Responsibilities
Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
Maintains the construction schedule.
Identifies and helps resolve risk and potential construction problems
Orders materials and schedules inspections as needed throughout the process.
Understands the project plans and specifications.
Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees.
Prepares, schedules and supervises completion of a final punch list.
Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and solves job site hazards.
Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
Maintains an organized and clean job site, including the construction office.

Education and Experience
4-yr college degree (preferred but not required) in construction management or similar field.

years of successful project leadership as a superintendent in the commercial construction industry.
Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of commercial construction.
