CHIEF OF POLICE The City of Brush is now hiring for the position of Chief of Police within the Brush Police Dept.
The BPD is an outstanding team, consisting of 11 sworn officers and 3 non-sworn staff.
The ideal candidate will:
demonstrate and maintain the highest level of ethics, integrity and accountability and will lead by example; demonstrate strong communication, management, interpersonal and organizational skills; ensure fair and impartial enforcement of Federal, State and local laws; be visible, accessible, transparent and engaged in community policing strategies; and be committed to and active within the community.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with major course work in criminal justice, public safety, public administration or related field required.
Min.
of 10 yrs of progressively responsible law enforcement experience including 3 yrs of experience in a command level leadership position such as Lt required.
A combination of education, experience and training totaling 10 yrs which provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the position will be considered on a case by case basis.
Starting salary is $72,200/yr plus excellent benefits which include:
FPPA defined pension, disability, optional 457 retirement plans; 12 paid sick days, 15 paid vacation days, 10.
5 paid holidays per year; and outstanding health, life, vision and dental benefits.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
