Norgate Technology, Inc. in Garden City, NY has multiple openings for C# .NET Developers to implement Object-Oriented programming concepts of interfaces, inheritance, abstraction and polymorphism. Individuals will apply advanced theoretical knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering principles and concepts, as well as experience using standard occupational tools, to assist project managers and to perform the following job duties:
Develop efforts in support of the enhancements and maintenance of the applications. Provide application design, development, unit testing, and documentation for the applications. Conduct day-to-day application support activities such as data quality analysis, job monitoring and trouble-shooting. Utilize Microsoft Winforms, ASP.NET and C# language to perform application development. Utilize .Net versions 2, 3, 3.5, 4 to create Business Intensive Web and windows application to help users manage investments, manage various funds and generate performance reports to different asset classes, using C# versions 2 and 3 to implement business rules and business logic for the same. Create various web services and WCF services used by other applications using C# versions 2 and 3. Responsible for using various third-party toolkits such as DevExpress and Infragistics. Perform Unit Testing and Integration testing of the applications. Develop business reports using Oracle fine grained access control and SQL Server database. Use Oracle database 9i, 10g and 11g to create Stored Procedures, Functions and Triggers and perform various DML operations. THE FOREGOING DUTIES INVOLVE SUPERVISION OF PROJECTS ONLY, NOT PERSONNEL. THIS POSITION DOES NOT PERFORM ANY PROJECT MANAGEMENT.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field of study and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, or three years of experience in any position providing the required skills and ability. In lieu of the stated primary education and experience requirements, employer will accept a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or any STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field of study, plus five (5) years of post-degree, progressive and related experience that provided the required skills and abilities. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. The term suitable, in this context, means substantial compatibility with stated academic level and job experience requirements and ability to perform job duties.

Travel: No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the United States which may require relocation at the end of each project.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
