ER Associates is recruiting for a Senior level position responsible for writing, editing and managing marketing communications copy for digital and printed materials as well as serving as a strategic marketing manager to support select practice and industry teams. This position serves as the principal writer for copy, including creative, within a full-service business development and marketing team.
Responsibilities:
Research, write, edit and verify overall accuracy of copy for the firm's external marketing materials, including practice and specialty team descriptions, advertising, promotional pieces, websites and blogs, as well as in the implementation of the firm's social media strategy.
Ascertain marketing and marketplace trends for legal and consulting services and for the major industries the firm serves so materials reflect relevancy and leadership.
Establish a solid and current understanding of legal and business issues to facilitate the development of effective and meaningful original copy.
Effective use of social media and knowledgeable on how to adapt communications to each platform.
Support the business planning and execution of these plans for select practice groups and industry teams. Support the RFP process for these select groups as well.
Serve as a member of the creative team for copy and provide input on design/layout of marketing materials as required.
Manage the quality controls for publications to ensure consistency and updates/changes are made promptly and universally.
Qualifications:
Possess excellent and versatile writing skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts to the intended audience as well as develop creative advertising and other promotional materials.
Can demonstrate experience with the development, execution, and management of content strategy.
Experienced with effectively using social media.
Solid strategic marketing and marketing communications background.
Excels at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Can keep track of details and ensure consistency across all materials and online platforms.
Proficient with Microsoft suite.
Highly organized and an effectively communicator to work with team members and the partners of the firm.
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree desirable. 10
years of previous work experience as a versatile business communications writer with strategic marketing management preferred.
Military experience a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
