PPNorCal is currently seeking a full-time Development Associate Institutional Philanthropy the Concord Administrative Office.
The Development Associate contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organizations fundraising activities by providing a high level of administrative support to the Development Department with an emphasis on supporting the Institutional Philanthropy Program. This individual reports to the Director of Institutional Philanthropy and is an integral part of the Development department.
This is a non-exempt, full-time position, working 40 hours per week including evenings and Saturdays as needed. Salary is $17.25 - $20.25/hour.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Plans and implements support systems for the Institutional Philanthropy program.
Supports the Institutional Philanthropy team by providing support for project, deadline and data management.
Performs institution and project research related to the ongoing success of institutional fundraising efforts.
Writes and edits acknowledgements and correspondence as needed for institutional philanthropy grants.
Writes routine interim/final reports for institutional funders.
Proofreads proposals and reports written by other staff.
Utilizes Raisers Edge to track grants, notes, and actions; generates standard and custom reports as needed.
Assists with the preparation of briefing and research materials, proposals and reports.
Ensures prompt and appropriate acknowledgement of grants.
Provides liaison to program officials, prospects, staff and volunteers as it relates to institutional philanthropy, as needed, in the absence of the VP/ Director.
Prepares fundraising status and prospect reports as necessary.
Supports the Development Team in all fundraising activities as needed and when available.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power point); and demonstrated knowledge of relational databases. Raisers Edge experience preferred.
Experience with non-profit organizations, particularly in fundraising and grant making, highly desirable.
Excellent writing skills with ability to compose and edit business communications.
Type 50 wpm accurately with excellent proofreading skills.
Ability to manage projects and tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent telephone communication and interpersonal skills: helpful, friendly and courteous in all contacts with trustees, donors, volunteers, staff and outside vendors.
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks with accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality.

Available to work occasional weekends and evenings.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
