Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software. Specifically, develop, test and debug Panzuras Operating System, Global File System and Quicksilver Cloud Storage. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software. Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis in the areas of OS (UNIX-like), Filesystems, Caching and Networking.
Employer will accept Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2 years of work experience in job offered or 2 years of work experience in a systems software engineering-related occupation. Experience must include:
1. At least two (2) years of experience developing complex algorithms and data structures;
2. C/C+
programming language;
3. OS, Filesystems;
4. Computer networking
5. Kernel and systems programming and device drivers; and
6. Shell Scripting.
