Job Description:
Structural Checker
Checking structural shop drawings and erection drawings per CD's and specs using Either SDS/2 or Tekla.
Work with checking department to learn requirements.
Update/maintain digital database.
Requirements/Skills
Must be highly detail oriented with good verbal and communication skills
Proficient in all Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Outlook
Ability to review and understand contract drawings and specifications
Minimum 5 years checking
Min 6 months structural or Misc software experience with Tekla or SDS/2.
Preferences
Self-starter, motivated with ability to start and finish a project on time
Must be able to handle several projects at once with minimum help or guidelines from department
Experience / Interest in construction and/or structural design.
Bottom Line Requirements:
1. 5
years of Structural Checking experience.
2. Experience with either Tekla or SDS.
3. Local or close enough for a short easy move.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
