DUTIES: Develop software solutions for external clients based on detailed specifications from EMC technology/system consultants. Design and development of microcode for EMC Symmetrix mainframe host adapter according to Enterprise Disk FICON/ESCON attachment specification, including modules for 2107 control unit and CKD device emulation, channel command works (CCW) processing, task management, TPF, Multipath locking facility, Attention Subsystem, MF syscalls, inlines, messaging, error recovery and sense data presentation, multithreading and multicore and other associated facilities. Identify performance issues and bottle necks and provide solutions by algorithm development, use of EMC Symmetrix facilities and efficient usage of hardware functions, dealing with issues opened by QE and EVT groups, customer escalations study of legacy code and provide customer support. Responsible for developing ESCON back adapter code. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin.(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field. 60 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Experience must include: 1) Symmetrix; 2) VMAX; 3) FICON; 4) ESCON; 5) 2107 control unit; 6) CKD emulation; 7) Algorithm development and implementation; 8) Enterprise storage array architecture; and 9) Mainframe host adapter microcode design and development. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
