Technical Writer

CARA's client, located in the Northern Suburbs, is seeking highly skilled technical communications professionals to fill several consulting opportunities. While not required, demonstrated experience in either a regulatory or pharmaceutical environment is highly desired.
Client is seeking a technical writer to document design standards, data integration, terminology standardization and development rules to operationalize. In addition, documentation needs to include value proposition so Business understands the value of adoption to them.
Target audience is primarily internal system analysts and project team members. Needs to be written with detailed IT requirements and made relevant to the Business.
Resource
Qualifications:
o Strong understanding of Information Technology
o Ability to facilitate discussions among SMEs to gather content (this would include such roles as Information Architect and System Analysts)
o Eye for documentation design and template development (look & feel will require heavy customization by modifying existing documentation)
o Understand communication requirements of all target audiences and proven ability to write for such
o Create new or modify existing technical documents that are complex in nature.
o Develop user guides, procedure manuals, and process standards.
o Edit documents and ensure that standards of quality, format and style are met.
Qualifications:
o Minimum of 5
years of technical writing experience.
o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
o Strong time management skills.
o Ability to work within client authoring systems, documentation management systems and a collaborative work environment.
o Ability to interact frequently with multiple Stakeholders in a global organization.
o Strong consulting skills and experience working with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders.
o Knowledge of Information Technology Requirements Documentation.
Education:
o Degree in Technical Writing, English or a related field preferred.
