UI Developer Technical Consultant
Blackstone Technology Group is seeking a UI Developer Technical Consultant to join our Federal Consulting Practice in Washington DC.
As a member of a high-performing team, the developer will design and implement innovative tools in a fast-moving, cutting edge government client environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage .NET aspects of a cloud based system.
Work with clients, project leadership, and other tech team members to design and implement tools and processes.
Assist with developing technological strategy for .NET application.
Recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, improve security posture, and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure.
Proactively explore ways for optimizing existing code to improve performance
Present ideas for improvements based on business and technical understanding.
Work closely with web designers, web application development team members, the requirements team, and client leadership to design, code, unit test and functional test enhancements to the systems.
Quickly turn business problems into technical solutions.
Work on multiple large scale projects in a fast paced environment with other members of the Information Technology team.
Performs analysis of high level business scenarios, interacts with client SMEs and requirements team to develop in-depth understanding of the application

Demonstrates very good written and oral presentation skills and outstanding client-interaction skills.
Thinks creatively and demonstrates the ability to work independently on a complex task with little direction, supervision, and management oversight.
The incumbent should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and able to work alone or in groups.

Experience providing product demonstrations and training

Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.

years of .NET Skills with hand-on-experience on .NET 4.5, JQuery, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, Ajax
JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS
Ability to modernize html / CSS / JavaScript
jQuery
AngularJS a plus
Familiarity with ASP.NET, VB.NET
Responsive web design
UI Design (portfolio would be nice)
Familiarity with PhantomJS & CasperJS testing
JavaScript Unit Testing
Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security (Active USDA clearance is a plus)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
