Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
CPA certification or progressing towards a CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5-8 years in public accounting, corporate tax department or other equivalent
Experience in federal, state and local sales/use, property and excise tax
Experience with state apportionment and nexus issues
Experience with tax compliance software and tax research software
Knowledge of general accounting principles, working knowledge of financial systems
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in development, management and maintenance of tax reporting function
Review excise tax and bi-monthly payments
Manage and make recommendations for the taxability decisions
Participate in tax related projects which involve research, examination and analysis
Oversee state, local and regulatory audits, respond to government tax notices
Assist in managing Canada GST/HST and Singapore GST complianceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
