Utilization Management Manager
Redlands, California
In this essential role, you will oversee and coordinate staff activities in the UM Department to ensure that effective services are provided and quality standards are met. As UM Manager, you will also assist the UM Executive Director, the CMO and the client Medical Directors in the execution of a comprehensive UM Program to meet all regulatory requirements. Importantly, you will assume day-to-day supervisory responsibilities of all Utilization Management Department Case Managers, UM Nurses and UM Specialists, in conjunction with the Executive Director of UM and EPIC Medical Director.
To qualify, you should be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing (a Bachelors degree or current, related work experience is preferred) and hold current and valid RN licensure in the state of California. At least two years experience as an RN in an acute care or ambulatory setting is required. Additionally, youll need working knowledge of guidelines and regulations relevant to case management and utilization management, including Medicare, DMHC, NCQA and Milliman Care Guidelines. Finally, you should be computer proficient and able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
