General Summary
We are currently looking for a Surveyor in our Transmission Division who will be responsible for providing survey and technical support for GREs Transmission Division to meet the design requirements and ensure the objectives of the department are met.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing survey data for all transmission, substation and communication system needs in a safe and timely manner.
Supporting the design of projects by drafting plan views, topographical and section drawings using AutoCAD.
Qualifications:
Knowledge typically acquired through a two year technical degree (such as drafting, survey tech., or civil tech.), and typically 0-6
years of survey or related experience OR 2-8
years of survey or related experience. 4 year degree is preferred.
Ability to maintain a current DOT medical card to perform the essential job functions.
Approximately 80% of the work assignments will be performed in the field, with approximately 60% of those assignments requiring overnight stays.
Experience with drafting utilizing AutoCAD software.
Familiarity with survey equipment.
Experienced with safely operating small equipment, such as chainsaws, four-wheelers, etc.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment is required.
LSIT is a plus.
