Assistant Aquatics Director

We currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and energetic aquatic leader to join the Kennett Area YMCA for the position of Assistant Aquatics Director.
Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, and consistent with the Mission of the YMCA, the Assistant Aquatics Director will be responsible for the recruiting, training, scheduling and supervision of all Aquatic Employees working at the Kennett Area YMCA. In addition, the incumbent will oversee all record keeping and all other files required by Ellis and Associates.

Summary:
Responsibilities include supervision of all aquatic safety programming and life guards for two on-site swimming pools, our off-site outdoor pool, and all related aquatic activities that involve community collaborations. This position oversees part-time lifeguards and swim instructors. Proven skill in staff leadership and supervision, safety and risk management expertise and relationship building is needed to be successful in this position. Budgeting and pool chemistry knowledge is preferred. Seeking a team player who is flexible with work schedule as evening and weekend coverage will be required. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential!
Starting approximate annual salary is $35,000 based on experience.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor degree preferred. 2 years of YMCA experience or other related aquatic program experience. Ellis Lifeguard Certification required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
