Manual Machinist position available in the Angola area!
1st shift
$14+/hr
Functions:
Produce parts that contribute to the repair and manufacture of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Also, other machining of jobs as needed that are unrelated to cylinders. Primary metals used are chrome bar, 1045 steel, ductile and bronze. understanding of perishable and non-perishable tooling needed to produce desired results.
Equipment you may use:
Manual Lathes and Mills, Conversational Mills, Drill Press, Forklift, Air Compressor, Hand, Power, and Pneumatic tools, Saws, Grinders, Sanders, Polishers, Shop computers and ACS Master Production software, etc.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 yr experience operating manual lathes and mills and/or conversational/CNC lathes and mills ideal but will consider recent graduates from machining school.
Ability to use calipers and micrometers, OD/ID single point threading and grooving, OD grinding a plus, 4-Jaw ability, experience using steady rest for long parts and hydraulic and pneumatic experience nice to have.
Good research, attention to detail and follow-up skills needed.
Ability to work well with others in a small business environment
Working knowledge of computers
Ability to learn quickly as environment is rapidly changing.
