COMMERCIAL LENDING OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Responsibilities
Develops new commercial loan business, services commercial loan portfolio, works with branch associates assigned in territory to handle all commercial loan requests, assists other lenders as directed, provides functional guidance to less experienced officers, and provides other customer services as required. Operates with limited credit authority

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

1. Calls on prospective commercial customers within the bank's market area (and beyond) through the effective use of personal face to face sales calls, telemarketing, and direct mail

2. Interviews applicants to develop information concerning their business, needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine whether a loan may be an acceptable risk

3. Obtains, performs and directs the analysis of all necessary financial data

4. Calls on customers at their place of business as directed

5. Makes decisions on loans and terms within own lending authority. Loans outside of granted authority will be recommended to appropriate authority as outlined in Loan Policy

6. Maintains commercial loan portfolio, responsible for obtaining current information, follows up on delinquencies, and reviews loans

7. Participates with Senior Loan Officer in making larger loans

8. Works with assigned branches to develop loans and process all commercial loan requests in conjunction with branch lenders

9. Cross-sells bank services and products and introduces customers to other department or branch associates when appropriate

10. Prepares loan proposals for new and renewal loans and makes presentations to Officers' and Directors' Loan Committees

11. Assists customers with routine branch services as needed
12. Submits a monthly call report of potential and existing customers called upon to Senior Loan Officer. Documents all products and services sold

13. Joins a civic or charitable organization which meets monthly and is based in a community serviced by the bank (An organization or club that does not already have the bank represented as a member.) In addition, may accompany other bsnk associates in assigned lending territory at their civic meetings throughout the year in order to develop new business

ANCILLARY DUTIES:
1. Attends loan committee meetings.

2. Accepts special assignments as requested by management.

3. Supports the bank's corporate education program by enhancing their knowledge and skills related to their job through education. Required to complete Reg University Compliance Courses according to schedule.

4. Responsible for compliance requirements applicable to the associate's job function and in being accountable to follow those compliance regulations specific to their area of the Bank.

5. Performs tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.

Reports directly to Senior Commercial Loan Manager

Direct contact with branch and lending division personnel. Contact with bank customers

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

1. Two years experience in credit function, including investigation, spread and analysis of financial statements

2. A college degree is desirable, however, not mandatory, providing there is significant education and on the job training in credit administration

3. Five years plus experience required



Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
