Our client in Emeryville is creating a new strategic capability around process improvement to help it continue to scale with rapid growth. This Process and Systems Improvement (PSI) initiative is a CFO/CEO backed effort with high visibility in the company.
The Senior Director, Product Commercialization and Process & Systems Improvement needs a self-starting Process & Systems Improvement Program Analyst Manager Consultant that can jump right in to help to kick start a few things, while they are looking for a perm employee for this position. She is seeking more of an analyst or former management consultant that has the experience and can dive in and knock out a few things.
The ideal candidate will be someone who can build models. Communicate results via PowerPoint Presentations and Excel. Someone that can build training templates for project managers who are looking for tools to use. How to re-create some templates that are currently too generic. Someone that can take what they have and overhaul it and make it custom to our client's needs, which will include some visuals and some wording.
Our client has collected some process improvement ideas and they now need help to decide which ones they will support. Someone to refine criteria and work with the hiring manager to build models to decide which ones to pursue and when. Could be in excel or PowerPoint. This will require the skills to take lot of info and think of buckets they can filter it into and present it to leadership and stakeholders to align priorities for next 5 years. Also out of models want to be able to track progress. The findings will lend themselves to metrics so management is able to track progress against ideas.
Some of our client's managers want to do process mapping with their teams and they need laminated flows, packaged into easy use formats, and they need help creating tool kits. Ideally this person can teach these managers how to use the tool kits after creating them. This person will create and roll out plans and communication on how to do it. Out client has started this process, but all the information is not pulled together for people to use the tool kits.
Position
Responsibilities:
Several specific needs critical to designing and building elements of the program, and setting up the initiative for success would be a great opportunity for the right candidate, and include:
Refine and benchmark the evaluation criteria for PSI project ideas and create progress/success metrics for selected projects.
Develop the PSI idea pipeline model to intake and capture ideas, categorize, apply above criteria for selection/prioritization, identify type of support needed (e.g. process definition, process improvement tools, subject matter expertise, training, PM support, coaching, etc.), track progress, capture and report metrics.
Create for our client PSI portfolio of project management and process improvement toolkits - virtual and physical. Create communication/roll-out plan and if appropriate teach how to use.
Depending on qualifications and timing/duration of externship: Be the project management lead of a cross-functional team for a core business process improvement project.

Be detail orientated, with good numerical, analytical and reconciliation abilities.
Proficiency with desktop applications, including strong excel, Visio and PM workflow tools, as well as mastery of presentation/visual communication tools such as PowerPoint.

Length: 3 to 4 Month Contract, with possibility of extension

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
