Research, develop and maintain real-time multi-threaded Linux application software. Projects may include web-based applications, networked client-server applications, multiple database driven applications, and/or implementation of network security methodologies. Responsible for low-level development such as device drivers, kernel configuration for different hardware architectures and code for hardware verification. Plan, design, modify and implement software applications from functional and system design specifications. Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine software to produce required product. Develop software tools and subsystems to support software development, test, and reuse, and manage their implementation. Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency and robustness. Review, evaluate, and analyze design interfaces. Prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation, specifications, test plans and procedures. Assist in definition, analysis and allocation of requirements. Support system test programs and analyze system testing results. Maintain developed software efficiently through familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle, Object-Oriented Design and Development. Document designs in engineering documents including functional block diagrams and data/logic flow charts. Enhance, develop 3G (UMTS), 4G (LTE) software in a Linux environment. Develop 3gpp LTE interface and protocol layers and related procedures in control and data plane, involves extensive C/C+
design, development and network programming targeted for Linux environment. Responsible for the design and implementation of the 3G IuH protocol and KPI analysis. Troubleshoot/Debug attach, detach, IRAT, handover, circuit switch fallback network issues related to 2G, 3G or 4G standards (GPRS, EDGE, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, VoLTE). Analyze, debug and isolate root cause of issues related to throughput, re-selection, call control and radio link failure. Analyze and provide input on Product Development and Network Evolution and Strategy initiatives for picocell/femtocell basestation solutions (e.g. Mindspeed 3G and LTE). Develop new design interfaces and contribute to the next-generation high throughput platform. Troubleshoot network interfaces connectivity issues using packet analyzer. Domestic and international travel may be required.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in the specialty field.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
