Robotics Welding Technician
Robotics Welding Technician is needed for a permanent job position with our client in SW Michigan. Candidates must offer experience in robotic welding (both resistance spot and arc) and basic knowledge of programming robotics and PLCs. Cartesian system is utilized along with Fanuc robots and Lincoln welding equipment. This is a support role on the production floor and industry is automotive.
Job
Responsibilities:
Ability to set-up and troubleshoot robotic systems and spot welders, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, and sensor or feedback systems
Offer basic programming support experience
Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality
Modify computer-controlled robot movements
Assist in the design, configuration, or application of robotic systems
Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components
Offer some wire welding experience
Document actions for generation of PM system
Conduct cycle-time improvements and production efficiency gains on assigned equipment
Provide assistance in training of personnel, both technical and production
Assist in development and operation of other weld and assembly cells
Be capable of delivering quality results
Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Ability to multi-task with keen attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to keep track of consumables
Job Requirements:
Associate Degree or Technical degree; otherwise, High School plus job experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience
Robotics system, spot welders, and PLC troubleshooting and set-up experience is required
Welding experience required, both arc and spot resistance
Knowledge of circuits, electrical, electronics, and microprocessors is required
Fanuc programming experience preferred
Ability to take initiative, attention to detail, document Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
