Develop methods and processes for the preparation and characterization of novel drug delivery formulations for drug candidates including proteins/mAbs, vaccines, and oligonuelcotides. The drug delivery systems include, but are not limited to, polymer microparticles and nanoparticles, self-assembled systems, controlled release formulations, and polymeric conjugates. Conduct protein formulation related activities, including stability and solubility assessments; method and assay development; and troubleshooting. Support technical feasibility evaluations of drug delivery technologies through laboratory experiments, materials and methods transfer, and technology partner interactions and logistics. Organize, analyze, and interpret experimental results for detailed reports and presentations.
Requirements
At least 2 years of relevant industrial experience in drug discovery or development for protein, vaccine, or nucleic acid therapeutics. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with others in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Self-motivated and an enthusiastic and fast learner. Hands-on experience with general analytical techniques for protein characterization.
Education
BS or MS in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, pharmaceutical science, or a related field.
