JOB SCOPE
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the plant and office facility
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to troubleshoot if problem is mechanical or electrical
Visually inspect and test machinery
Have ability to repair machines
Clean and lubricate machines, including dismantling and repair
Maintain and repair basic electrical connections
Maintain piping systems
Repair office facility equipment
Teach routine preventative maintenance to production and maintenance workers
Work under minimal supervision and relate to other self-directed work groups.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Vocational education required
Intricate knowledge of machines used
Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics
Knowledge of welding procedures
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing 25 pounds or more.
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to follow oral instructions
Able to work closely with fellow employees as a team player on a professional level.
Ability to read and understand technical manuals and diagrams including blueprints
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
1-3 years directly related experience preferred.
Basic understanding of mathematics
Familiar with hand tools and inspection devices
Ability to drive a forklift
Understand basic trouble-shooting techniquesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
