Montessori Assistant Teacher

The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for an Assistant Teacher to work in the renowned and progressive Kennett Area Y Montessori School. This position would run the 2015-2016 school year with an August, 2015 start date.
Requirements:
Must be 18 years old with a HS Diploma
Applicant must meet DHS requirements of possessing an American, or equivalent, High School Diploma. If the diploma is from an international school, the diploma or degree must be verified by a credential evaluation service.
Two years of experience working with groups of children ages 18 months to 6 yrs old and college credits
Shifts range between 7am-1pm, 2:30-6pm, 8:45am-11:45am, 12:15pm-3:15pm, Mon-Fri and other day time subbing.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Montessori Preschool Lead Teacher with planning and implementing all childcare activities
Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times, providing a safe, interactive program.
Interacting with the children to encourage development and involvement in activities.
Mentoring children in the Toddler classroom (ages 18mos to 3 yrs old) and Preschool classroom (ages 3-6) around the YMCA Core Values.
Obtain a Child Abuse and Police Clearance, FBI Fingerprint Clearance, Bloodborne Pathogens training, CPR, First Aid, yearly health assessment and any other training necessary to comply with DHS regulations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
