Senior or Staff Software Developer - Ops Platform

Position
The company team is looking for a software developer who will help them continue to improve these frameworks. You will be involved in architecture, design, and implementation of the software and systems owned by the team. The ideal candidate is a talented software developer, experienced in large scale production operation of web services.
Responsibility
-Contribute to the company in their datacenter build-out automation, inventory system, and capacity planning tools
-Contribute to the infrastructure web services platform
-Lead architecture decisions around software solutions to the company infrastructure business needs
-Interface equally with the application dev team and technical operations team
-Be an advocate for code quality and software development best practices
-Continuously improve core Tech Ops code frameworks
Qualifications
-5
years of relevant experience
-Mastery of at least one programming language used at the company (Python, PHP, Scala)
-Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
-Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems
-Experience using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban in a development team
-Familiarity with integrated build systems and testing frameworks
-4 year degree in Computer Science / Engineering or a related field
-Background in operation of production web services in a SaaS environment
-Experience with automated configuration management systems (eg, Puppet, Chef)
-Experience with monitoring and escalation systems
-Involvement in open-source technology projects
