The Staff Accountant will primarily split time between general ledger month end activities and cyclical accounts payable needs. Ideal candidates will have vicinity manufacturing experience and the ability to contribute independently as well as collaboratively within a high performing team.

Day to Day
Responsibilities:
General Ledger/Month End (60%)
Reconcile bank statement
Assist with month end duties:
Journal entries
Reconcile AP to subledger
Headcount report
Account reconciliations
Assist with month end variance analysis and management reporting
Assist with reviewing and consolidating indirect spend departmental budgets
Accounts Payable (40%)
Entering vendor invoices, paying vendors, and monitoring discount opportunities
Scheduling and preparing checks, resolving purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation
Ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos
Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
Maintaining accounting records by making copies/filing documents

Basic
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of related accounting experience required
Excellent MS Excel skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline
4
years of related experience
Great Plains and SAP experience highly desirable
Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
