Position: Formulation Scientist
Good understanding of aseptic processing principles as applied to parenteral sterile drug product manufacturing in vial, syringe, and/or cartridge container closure systems.
Formulates new products, from development to commercialization, within defined company, industry, and regulatory parameter
Knowledge of the susceptibility of protein formulations to be impacted in liquid and lyophilized fill-finish processes and analytical methods for assessing product quality.
Experience developing predictive scaled-down fill-finish process models is a plus.
Use of statistical methods (DOE) to design and analyze data from experiments in support of formulation and fill-finish unit operation development is desirable.
Experience with lyophilization process development, process characterization and solid state characterization techniques, which support cycle design and product characterization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or Master's in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Demonstrated understanding of the relationship between Development, Quality, Manufacturing and Regulatory for driving work to meet project deliverables as well as cross-functional improvements.
5-7 years technical experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing
Experience with HPLC testing and other stability testing methods.
Proven problem solving skills and track record of successful technical accomplishmentsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
