Partners with shopper research within knowledge and insights to identify and fill critical customer specific shopper behavior knowledge gaps via primary research or secondary resources. Represents the voice of the shopper within the company system and with the customers. Acts as customer insights SME and contributes insights to support selling stories for the initiatives. Serves as a marketing and business consultant to the customer and the company leads on business opportunities for the customers. Represents the company marketing in customer interactions and therefore should develop a credible, actionable relationship with the customers marketing and insight decision makers. Supports strategy and program development for customer specific shopper marketing campaigns and the annual planning process. Collaborates with CCNA category advisory, marketing and bottlers to identify marketing opportunities to better connect with shoppers at retail. Analyzes and report on business opportunities, utilizing available syndicated and proprietary data sources. Communicates status of work to appropriate parties in order to keep them informed and involved. Identifies emerging shopper, consumer or marketplace trends that may impact the company or the customers business and identify strategic implications. Visits and observes other stores in order to develop an understanding of the competitive environment and its application to customer needs.
Requirements
At least 9 years in the consumer packaged goods industry, with substantial experience in shopper insights, shopper marketing, category management, or market research. Advanced analytic and communication skills, expertise in customer specific shopper insights, proficiency in more than one focus area, and marketing or general management experience.
Education
Bachelor degree in business, math, economics or social sciences
