In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and direct the quality management system to assure product conformance with established standards.
Summary
Support ISO ad TS certification and compliance activity and complete all tasks designated in the ISO quality management system (QMS).
Responsible for corrective and preventive action processes, including customer interaction. Use Lean Tools, Statistical Techniques and analytical methods to achieve effective problem solving, root cause discovery and corrective action.
Assist with the development of quality objectives complimentary to KRAs with all management team to achieve continuous improvement.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards, establish control units, and define process and product capability indices.
Create and implement inspection criteria, procedure and audit activity throughout the operation.
Apply total quality management tools and methods to analytical and reporting processes within each department.
Prepare and submit PPAP documentation as required.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints and quality problems in the field and in the process. Provide effective problem-solving techniques to eliminate problems.
Provide technical support to all manufacturing areas, the sales team, customer service and customers as needed.
Work with suppliers to establish requirements and insure the quality of all purchased parts that can effect products and services.
Direct final inspectors engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous compliance of products to specifications.
Assist with audit activities as an internal auditor of the QMS.
Direct all product returned material authorization activities, data bases and reports in conjunction with the sales team, mill operations manager, customer service and accounting areas.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
Five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with and knowledge of TS and ISO quality standards.
Strongly prefer experience in steel, metals, or automotive industry.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
