Responsibilities:
Lead technical decisions and implementation to advance the product vision and support roadmap commitments
Define a contribution model to the Banner Platform
Lead team to create a more sustainable Platform by reducing the injection of technical debt
Leverage modern extensibility models to support customer flexibility within all Banner applications
Through continuous Agile process improvement, increase productivity to enhance product quality and reduce existing backlog
Identify technical solutions that promote modern software architectures
Provide technical leadership that fosters growth, speed and excitement for application development teams
Oversee the product development for Banner Workflow and the Banner Platform
Coordinate with Ellucian Applied Architects to manage future technical goals with current customer needs
Work collaboratively with the Banner Leadership Team to deliver high quality applications which fulfill the transformation objectives
Work collaboratively with the Banner Leadership Team to further quality standards and initiatives
Individual must possess:
Ability to inspire, challenge, motivate and reward individuals and teams
Ability to drive to decisions
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Ability to transition talent to new skills
Ability to collaborate with cross functional and geographically distributed resources and teams
Ability to evolve customer solutions, protecting their investments
Ten years of Java solution development experience
Strong working knowledge and experience in:
Java, JSP, EJB, XML, HTML5, SQL, backbonejs , Angularjs, nodejs
Windows, Solaris, Unix, Linux, AIX, iOS, Android
Oracle, NoSQL, DB2
WebLogic, Tomcat
Groovy Grails, RESTful, Spring, Hibernate,
AWS/Ravello
Technical proficiency with:
Cloud Architecture
Technical knowledge of:
