Reviews details of contract drawings and specifications of projects to identify discrepancies between orders to proceed and the contract documents. As warranted, notifies Project Coordinator of findings.
Compiles preliminaiy piece counts and product summary sheets to be reviewed with production in order to establish method of production.
Completes advance bills of material, framing plans, sections and details.
Checks own drawings for accuracy of physical dimensions, notes, clarity or other drafting considerations.
Records and reviews the effects of all incoming changes received by phone, on returned shop drawings or on revised contract drawings and advises the Project Coordinator and the Estimating Depmtment immediately so that the associated cost can be determined.
Complies with established drawing requirements, utilizing established methods for presentation of all necessa1y data including: titles, numbering, layouts, etc. Details primarily but not limited to framing plans, sections and details.
Maintains computer files in established directories.
As authorized by the Project Coordinator, issues ordering and planning, approve for manufacture and revised for manufacture drawings.
Reviews on a weekly basis the drafting schedule as it relates to progress against due dates, so that adjustments may be made as necessary.
Reviews product library for conformance to latest production and erection techniques and advises the Project Coordinator of any changes.
Contacts outside contractors and architectural/engineering firms when necessary, maintains a correspondence log and reviews information discussed with the Project Coordinator.
Sets up self-monitored continuing education program. (continued)
Assists and advises new detailers as to the most efficient and effective methods of detailing.
Cleans and maintains equipment assigned to work station.
AutoCad and Hand drafting skills. Knowledge of TEKLA 3-D modeling a plus.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
