Inver Hills seeks a Director of Distance and Adult Learning to direct distance and adult learning programming at Inver Hills Community College to include work with dislocated workers, veteran students, working adults, and other distance/adult learners. The Director of Distance and Adult Learning is responsible for administration, development, and assessment of programs and services for distance/adult learners.

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and direct programs and services for adult learners to grow the adult learning program
Administer retention strategies to maintain current programs and explore new initiatives to accommodate adult and distance learners
Collaborate with and advise campus departments and faculty on how to teach adult learners
Develop and lead a distance/adult learner advisory committee
Develop relations and collaborate with four-year institutions offering the Individualized Professional Studies (IPS) degree.
In collaboration with Customized Training/Continuing Education, develop and maintain partnerships with corporate and community contacts
Develop a marketing and recruitment plan to attract distance/adult learners
Collaborate with the Advising/Counseling department to advise students on various degree acceleration options.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Baccalaureate degree
Two or more years of experience working with adult learners in higher education academic setting
Two or more years of experience working with online, blended, and accelerated course delivery models
Thorough knowledge of higher education principles, programs, and processes, and especially informed about present and future trends in adult learning and distance education
Knowledge of eLearning technologies and approaches to education
Experience and skill in database management and building and using queries
Experience and skill in research, interpretation and analysis
Experience and skill in data gathering and data integrity
Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral and electronic)
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to work independently on a variety of projects and as a member of a team
Intermediate to Advanced level of knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred
Qualifications:
Masters or Doctorate degree in relevant field
Four or more years of experience working with complex records systems and interactive technology
Experience working with academic program development
Experience in marketing/sales
Extensive experience with and knowledge of adult learning theory and pedagogy
Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Ability to work and contribute in a team environment and work across multiple departments
Understanding of the structure of academic programs offered at the college
Ability to understand labor agreements (i.e., faculty)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
