Elevate Technology Solutions is currently accepting applications for a SCOM Architect to support our operations in Arlington, VA.
This excellent opportunity requires that the ideal candidate to be customer focused, and willing to join a winning team.
The SCOM Architect will be responsible for the following:
Solid understanding of standard client/server, networking, and Internet fundamentals and a superior knowledge and demonstrated technical proficiency in System Center Operations Manager with experience in large / complex environments.
The candidate should be able to troubleshoot all aspects of SCOM effectively and understand the product configuration, flow and logging in detail.
The candidate should understand fully the base OS and SCOM Management Packs and be able to discuss in detail at least one of the following Management Packs: Active Directory, Exchange, IIS or SQL including configuration, tuning and customization
The SCOM Architect must have the following skills:
Architecture, configuration, design, deployment and migration of SCOM 2007 R2, 2012 RTM, 2012 SP1, and 2012 R2 in enterprise environments.
Extensive management pack tuning, customization and configuration in enterprise environments for SQL (2005,2008,2012), AD, DNS, Exchange (2007,2010,2013), Windows OS (2003,2008,2012), IIS (2008,2012), Sharepoint (2010,2013), Lync, HP, etc.
Custom / standard SCOM reporting and automation with PowerShell to assist with SCOM administration and provide solutions using custom rules and monitors
Secondary requirements:
Netcool - SCOM integration
Experience writing power shell scripts
Experiece working in Windows/UNIX environment
The SCOM Architect must meet the following
Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/ maintain a public trust security clearance.
