In- House Lawyer

A fast growing International Investments company is seeking to employ an In House Lawyer to join their team.
Checking and reviewing agreements, application forms, scheme documents and marketing material to ensure regulatory and legislative requirements are met.
Checking and reviewing legislation in Malta and other jurisdictions and keeping the Board updated on any new developments.
Provide advice and where necessary obtain concise and accurate legal advice/opinion as required by telephone, email or in face to face meetings.
Assisting with regulatory issues and conduct legal research as and when required. Review of any draft local legislation/rules. Identify resultant threats and opportunities and assist in the required implementation.
Assist the Compliance department as required.
Working in both a supporting capacity and autonomously were appropriate as well as working on special projects.
The successful person would be a University of Malta Law graduate, with a number of years experience backing them in a relevant position, and experience dealing with the MFSA would also be considered an asset. Preferred experience would be in the Financial Services industry, coupled with training background and excellent knowledge of Maltese Legislation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
