The HT Group is looking for Account Payable Specialists to work for one of our clients in North Austin. This position will be responsible for assisting with the Accounts Payable duties including: vendor invoice processing, employee expense reports processing and reimbursements, maintenance of the general ledger and monthly closing process.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable, including departmental/dual cost allocations
Research and respond to vender inquiries
Process and audit employee expense reports
Create monthly journal entries to the general ledger
Assist with quarter and year-end closing
Enhance and develop accounting policies and procedures
Examine, analyze and interpret accounting records
Special projects, as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Two plus years of Accounting experience
Knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting procedures
Able to meet deadlines, handle confidential data, and deal with multiple projects
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, experience with accounting ERP system preferred.
Detail oriented and flexible.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to work well in a team environment
Good communication skills (oral and written)

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
